As an ancient and fashionable fitness fitness exercise, Tai Chi has come into the lives of many people, many people in Tai Chi Museum or follow the video a few lessons to learn down, has been able to "show" a variety of postures, but Tai Chi is to do look so simple?
In fact, Taiji practice has "three major taboos, four major methods, five major suggestions! In fact, there are three taboos, four methods and five suggestions for Taiji practice. Today, I will arrange a Taiji popularization post for you, and I hope it will be fruitful for your Taiji practice.
Three taboos
Taboo: Neglecting Breathing
In Taiji practice, breathing is the link between the body and the spirit. If the breathing is unstable, the mind is unstable; if the breathing is stable, the mind is stable. Therefore, in order to obtain a steady mind, you should control your breathing.
In true practice, breathing is slow and natural.
The opening and closing of the body is controlled by the breath.
The holding time of each posture should be in accordance with the breath.
Whether or not you have reached your limit in each exercise can be judged by the breath.
......
When practicing, you can focus all your awareness on the breath. There is not a single pose that is not practiced with natural breathing, except at the request of the instructor.
Second Taboo: Neglecting Details
Taijiquan is a subtle art and discipline. No matter how many single postures there are in Taijiquan, each one has its own essentials, and as long as when you accomplish these essentials correctly, your practice is effective.
Harmony in Tai Chi Single Forms comes from the harmony of strength.
The harmony of strength comes from the harmony of muscles and bones and ilium.
The harmony of muscles and bones and iliacs comes from the details of the body's localization and the whole.
Therefore, Tai Chi practice should pay more attention to details. Through continuous and correct practice, awareness grows during the exploration of the body, and this is what Taijiquan will eventually give us.
Three taboos: Neglecting to warm up and relax after practice
A complete Taijiquan class should include warm-up, set practice, and final relaxation.
Warming up is to move the muscles and joints and adjust the body and mind to enter the state of practice.
The set exercises are to open up the energy channels of the body, and the breathing is to transport the body's energy to all parts of the body, but it is the final resting technique that can really increase the body's qi, blood, and energy.
Although the organizing and relaxing after the practice is just some simple movements, it only takes a short 3~5 minutes, and its effect is equivalent to several hours of ordinary sleep without awareness.
Four Methods
I. Practicing Tai Chi with your ears
Listen to your teacher's instructions with your ears. A Tai Chi instructor will inform you of the details and pain points that you need to pay attention to in a posture through the instructions. After receiving the teacher's instructions, do not look around, but focus on your own practice experience.
Tai Chi is about connecting different aspects of us together, to feel every part of the body, as well as I our spirit and emotions.
Practicing Tai Chi with your eyes
Pay attention to the instructor's demonstration of the practice, pay attention to the details, and then think about how you should improve and enhance.
Concentrate on your practice in the present moment, this is the real Tai Chi. When looking into the distance, don't neglect the road under your feet.
Practicing Tai Chi with your mouth
People who can be Tai Chi instructors must have a decent and kind heart, they are polite and generous, they like and believe in Tai Chi, and all of them have a positive and optimistic attitude towards life.
Talk to your Tai Chi instructor more often, tell him the problems you encounter and how you feel when practicing. Believe me, your instructor will be happy to answer your questions.
Practice Tai Chi with your heart
Tai Chi is about the cultivation of body and mind. Please be attentive to every Taiji class, every exercise, every movement and every breath.
Whether you are standing on stakes, practicing routines, or pushing hands, the purpose of Tai Chi is to transform the mind, to use the mind as a conversion, to use the body as an awareness, to change from restlessness to quietness, from confusion to awakening, and from slowness to sensitivity.
Five Suggestions
I. Don't let Tai Chi stay only in the classroom
Tai Chi is not just a boxing art, it is also cultivation. Don't let your Tai Chi practice only stay in Tai Chi class, take Tai Chi out of the classroom and integrate it into your life. A true Tai Chi practitioner walks, sits and sleeps in Tai Chi, and lives everywhere in Tai Chi.
You may not practice Tai Chi outside the classroom, but please treat people, things, objects and everything around you in the Tai Chi way: non-violence, honesty, non-stealing, abstinence, not being humble, not being overbearing, and treating people, things, objects and everything around you with kindness.
Adjust your practice according to your own physical condition
Tai Chi can be practiced poorly, as long as you live within your means and stop when appropriate.
In a Tai Chi class, the instructor has to take care of the level of all the students to teach, which leads to certain styles that you may not be able to do, at this time you have to learn to be calm and quiet, and control the practice by yourself, do not force yourself to do it.
Concentrate only on your own practice
You don't need to compare yourself with others all the time.
Because everyone's physical condition and the length of practice time is different, a certain movement essentials, may be others do it perfectly, and you can not do.
It's okay, at ease in their own practice, to find a way that suits them, know that set practice is just a tool, too much comparison, we will be a slave to the tool.
Fourth, not obsessed with the practice of Tai Chi
You need to wait for the results of the practice, at ease in your Tai Chi practice, do not cling to the changes brought by Tai Chi. Don't obsess about losing weight, getting looser, or becoming more aware.
The important thing in practicing Tai Chi is to let go of the obsessive mind, which can trap you like a cage. Accept yourself, whether good or bad. Practicing Tai Chi is to help you live a better life, and all the kung fu is for you.
Don't force yourself, practice by going with the feeling of your personal power on that day and know how to enjoy it! It is in the absence of pressure that you will get wonderful results.
