The dream must be broken, and diamonds can no longer be regarded as glass or gold as dirt, let alone crying poverty with a golden bowl. From the mutual validation of philosophy and Tai Chi, we are seeing their respective and mutual values, and re-seeing their splendor.

We have almost rediscovered: without Chinese philosophy, there is no Chinese Tai Chi; philosophy is the basis of Tai Chi, and Tai Chi is the exquisite embodiment of philosophy.

Taiji martial arts method, is the method of ancient Chinese philosophers high-level Taiji martial arts training, with special emphasis on the way from the stakes or meditation requirements into the stillness of the start. And this is both the foundation of the technique and at the same time a way for the ancient Chinese to understand the world.

To see what is useful and to ignore what is not useful is the "dishonesty" of our later generations. It comes from a highly developed sense of utilitarianism and self-consciousness, i.e., from the acquired habit of observing the world selectively. It is like wearing sunglasses in order to avoid the glare, although comfortable, but no longer see the world's true color.

The ancients had a better fortune than we do. Their minds were already as developed as ours, and at the same time they had not lost their primitive intuition and instincts, as well as their ability to exchange information directly with nature, which is a state of superior intelligence.

Ancient Chinese people used this advantage, fully integrated processing, and then found: the world of human desires, as well as the five senses feel, as well as verbal logical thinking, have limitations, and sometimes even impede the more subtle, broader, more profound, more understanding, such as a mirror on the dirt covered the light, out of the image or the image of the defective.

Thus, although it is regrettable that airplanes and rockets have not been built to this day, it was found that, after some treatment, the human mind is a clear mirror that can reflect the world and its laws in their original form. This led to the development of the "technique of removing dirt", which is called "seeing the nature of the mind", i.e., cleaning up the mind in order to see things and one's own nature.

That is to eliminate one-sided sensory stimulation and obstacles to consciousness, to enter a state of desirelessness in which there is no difference between the internal and external senses of the body and mind, and to receive the unreflected information from the world around us and from any changes in ourselves. Then you return to the normal state of desire, and after comparing desire with non-desire, you decide how to utilize what you have gained from non-desire to benefit the world of mankind without destroying the nature within the scope of the laws that are not humanly possible.

If you have desire alone, you will be blind; if you have the knowledge of desirelessness as background, you will not be blind even if you have desire. This is what Lao Tzu said, "always have no desire to see its wonderful, always have desire to see its mere". This is the fundamental method of the ancient Chinese people to understand the world.

As for someone to use to engage in superstition, that is not Laozi's error, just as someone to create a murderous atomic bomb can not be blamed on Mrs. Curie. We can rely on modern science and logical thinking to look down on the ancients, at the same time, should not also look squarely at them above us? We only know how to "have desires", but we don't know much about "not having desires". To "have desire" to obtain one-sided information, and then synthesize and process, creation and invention, although the immediate more comfortable and practical, but on the whole, is not the danger of endless consequences? The blind progress of science leads to the destruction of ecological balance, is it enough as an example? The replacement of the human body by tools is certainly convenient, but it leads to the transfer of primitive intuition and manifest energy into potential, making people in many areas become incompetent, and have to work hard to re-develop, is it another example?

Ask yourself, in the face of the ancients, are we sometimes as ridiculous as a dwarf looking at a giant or a blind man feeling an elephant?

The "descaling technique" of the ancients has been passed down to the present day, and there is the indelible historical merit of Tai Chi martial arts in it. Because Taiji is a rare way to experience the philosophies of the ancients with one's body and mind, Taiji is the physical and mental embodiment of these philosophies and the physical and mental carriers, of which many aspects cannot be expressed in writing and recorded, and only by the realization of generations of Taiji masters to be passed down.

What Tai Chi brings to the practitioner is the philosophies and methods from the ancients to understand the world and the self. It is also an effective way for us to redevelop the potential of the human body and brain.

The combination of desirelessness and desire, the combination of verbal and non-verbal, the combination of logic, image, intuition, inspiration and other forms of thinking, the combination of apparent consciousness, subconsciousness and instinct, the combination of irrationality, rationality and transcendental rationality, and the combination of all ways of knowing, and the integration and integration of all of them, is where our hope lies.

Taijiquan martial arts emphasizes the harmony of motion and stillness. In the face of the ever-changing universe and life (i.e. motion), the philosophers found that there is a relatively stable system and law (i.e. stillness). And only with a static view of movement, that is, from a relatively stable point of view to observe all the uncertainty of the factors, it is possible to grasp the law of change of movement and static at the same time, and then in practice to achieve harmony between movement and static.

It is not difficult to see that the concept of motion and stillness in Chinese philosophy is the same as the concept of desire (motion) and no desire (stillness) mentioned above. High-level Taiji martial arts require the realization of "movement and stillness" in physical and mental movements. To move is to break the balance; to be still is to maintain the balance. Stillness in motion (and "stillness in motion") is dynamic equilibrium. The ideal level of harmony and perfection is to maintain a continuous balance between mind and body.

Please think about it, the human body and mind is not a sphere (in which the heart is not a general physical quantity), and in the face of ever-changing fighting moves and life-and-death crises, but also to do like an ideal sphere in the ideal plane, to maintain the balance of the movement, but also flexible and changeable, easy and comfortable, and highly energy-saving - this training will be tapped and created human! What extraordinary mental, physical and mechanical abilities!

The key to stillness or balance lies in the comprehensive consciousness of the mind in charge of the internal and external surface of the body and mind to communicate with each other, no matter how intense and unpredictable the movement, to maintain a high degree of stability and calmness, as if the water is flat as a mirror. Only with this kind of psychological balance can one achieve a high degree of physical and mental relaxation and a high degree of energy conservation.

As the boxing theory says: "As long as the nature of the heart and mind is quiet, naturally everywhere is not light".

In the higher realm, it is also necessary to achieve harmony and synchronization between the physical and mental movements and the rhythm of the universe. This is the holistic view of Chinese philosophy about the induction of heaven and man, and the synchronization of man and heaven. Once the movement of human beings communicates with the movement of the universe as a whole, it is indestructible in the face of those who have not received such training, and invulnerable in the face of static, dynamic and indestructible. As for the real Taiji martial arts masters, they can be distinguished without casualties.

The purpose of the technique of "seeking quietness in movement" is to "use quietness as a brake". "Using quietness as a brake" is the unique Taiji kungfu technique based on the ability to balance with encounters. The specific manifestation of this is "getting the opportunity to get the momentum".

Without going into details, the general process is as follows.

Masters in the other side of the micro-movement of the opportunity, sensing the other side of the micro-movement of the potential (which is called "to get the opportunity"); to "give up their own submissive (static obedience to the dynamic or no desire)" heart, with the other side of the potential to achieve harmony and synchronization in the other side has not yet been really shot, that is, to destroy his attack, thereby To neutralize the imbalance brought about by the opponent (i.e., movement).

Almost at the same time, the master to "from the people still from their own (movement in the pursuit of quiet or desire)" heart, the other into their own harmonious and open body and mind mechanics system, that is, into their own dynamic balance (i.e., static), to achieve "desire and no desire, movement and static, from the dynamic unity of the people and from the people (this is called to get the momentum)". )".

And once the momentum, it always ensures that the master's advantage and initiative, also means that the other side is destined to be outside of the passive position of the constraints, which is called "I Shun people back".

As for the real masters to grasp their own, the opponent and the environment balance relative, is who move who lose. Because the first to move first destroyed their own balance.

Therefore, "seeking peace in motion" has many purposes and functions higher than those of martial arts, such as in life, in interpersonal relationships, in adapting to the environment or improving the environment, all strive to achieve dynamic balance. Because balanced movement is low-loss and efficient, it is applicable to any field of activity.

Tai Chi is about yin and yang yin and yang is also an all-encompassing concept in Chinese philosophy. Yin and Yang and their interchanges are the basis for the unique effects of Tai Chi, such as the use of force to strike and the use of softness to overcome hardness.

However, the mysteries of the art have been puzzling people for generations and still are today.
